The role of the Teacher Champion is to encourage learners to participate, help them if they need assistance, and review submissions to ensure a high standard is maintained across the challenge. Teachers are Wavumbuzi’s primary contacts and the representatives for the school and its learners.
There is plenty of support available to Wavumbuzi Teachers. This includes:
- Free online Teacher Training around how to teach entrepreneurial mindsets at a high school level (accessed via your Teacher Portal)
- Weekly Lesson Guides to help you get your learners ready for the challenges
- Weekly Webinars which offer tips and answers to the most frequently asked questions
- Access the Teacher Portal and Dashboard so that you can see how each of your learners is getting on
- A Support Centre of articles and videos for you to consult across the challenge
- A Wavumbuzi Support WhatsApp number for you to reach out over WhatsApp message with any questions: +254 799021344 in Kenya and +250 789 175 239 in Rwanda
- Access to your Wavumbuzi Region/District WhatsApp Group for teachers and parents in your region to ask questions and share learnings.
- A Wavumbuzi Certificate awarded at the end of the competition to Teachers that complete the full online Teacher Training and oversee their learners in the challenge.
