Role of the Teacher Champion

The Teacher Champion encourages learners to participate, provides assistance when needed, and reviews submissions to maintain high standards throughout the challenge. Teachers are Wavumbuzi’s primary contacts and representatives for their school and learners. Previous Wavumbuzi challenges have shown that teachers play a key role in the success of their learners.

Teachers are asked to:

• Register their school

• Gain access to the Teacher Portal

• Complete the online Teacher Training

• Invite other teachers from your school and community to join this journey

• Assign learners to your school

• Encourage and support learners to complete each week’s Wavumbuzi challenges

• Support learners who struggle and seek guidance from your designated Wavumbuzi Ambassador when needed

• Celebrate learners who actively engage in the challenge
